Michigan State in Third After Two Rounds at Duck Invitational

East Lansing, Mich. – The Michigan State men's golf team shot a 6-over par 574 after the first two rounds of play and is in third place among 15 teams at the Duck Invitational, being played at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon.
Illinois leads the field after firing a 1-under par 567. Oregon State is behind them after shooting a 5-over par 573. The Spartans are in third (6-over par 574), then tied for fourth place at 9-over par 577 is Boise State, San Jose State and Oregon.
The Spartans started off hot in the opening round, leading the field at 3-under par 281, a team-best opening round this season.
Senior Ashton McCulloch led the Spartans, sitting in fourth place after firing a 3-under par 139 (67-72) on the day.
Senior Caleb Bond is in 14th place after a 1-over par 143 (70-73).
Juniors McCoy Biagioli and Lorenzo Pinili are both tied for 35th place after shooting 3-over par 147 (73-74).
Junior Lucas Acevedo is in 60th place after carding a 9-over par 150 (70-80) through two rounds.
Playing as an individual, junior Julian Menser is tied for 35th along with two of his classmates after a 3-over par 147 (73-74).
The Spartans will conclude play at the Duck Invitational starting Tuesday morning.
