MSU’s Fralick Selected as Assistant Coach for U18 Women’s National Team

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State women's basketball coach Robyn Fralick has been named an assistant coach for the women's U18 National Team.
She will be joined by Notre Dame head coach Niele Ivey and California head coach Charmin Smith. They will be leading the FIBA U18 AmeriCup team this summer. Ivey will be the U18 head coach. Fralick will help lead the USA at the 2026 FIBA U18 Women's AmeriCup, set for June 8-14. The United State will look to capture their 12th-straight gold medal and 13th overall since the tournament's inception in 1988.
Fralick is in her third season at the helm of the Spartans. She has led the team to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in her first two seasons. She became the first head coach in program history to achieve this feat. This season, Michigan State has reached as high as No. 12 in the AP Poll, their highest mark in 15 seasons.
She will be making her USA Basketball assistant coaching debut after serving as a court coach at the 2025 USA Women's AmeriCup Team trials.
This season, the Spartans are 22-6 so far this season with one regular-season game remaining. Michigan State also stands 11-6 in Big Ten action. The No. 15 Spartans host No. 13 Ohio State on Sunday, March 1 at 12 p.m. on BTN.
