Spartans face Princeton and Columbia in a weekend of Ivy League action.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State women's tennis travels to New York, N.Y. to face off against Princeton on Friday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. and Columbia on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m.
The Spartans hit the road for the first time this season after their initial road trip to the ITA Kickoff in College Station, Texas was canceled due to poor weather.
This follows the Green & White's five-game homestand, where the team solidified its best season start since the 2018 spring season, slating a 5-0 dual match record.
Sophomore Amara Brahmbhatt remains ranked at No. 116 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and the doubles pairing of sophomore Ellie Blackford and Matilde Morais remain at No. 88 in the doubles rankings.
Scouting Princeton
The Tigers have had a strong start to their season, holding a 6-1 record.
Princeton's only loss came during the ECAC Championship, where the team fell to Yale in a 4-1 deficit. Yale went on to win the entire ECAC Championship.
Michigan State is one of three Big Ten teams that the Tigers will face this season, with Princeton also taking on Rutgers earlier this season, defeating them, 5-2 on Jan. 24. Later this season, the Tigers will meet Penn State in their home territory.
Series History vs. Princeton
