
Spartan Track & Field Concludes Regular Season at Trio of Meets

EAST LANSING, Mich. –  In the final week of preparation for the Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championship, Michigan State will split into three groups to end the regular season.Â
On Friday, Feb. 21, MSU will send athletes to the Silverston Invitational in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as well as the GVSU Tune-Up, in Allendale, Michigan. On Saturday, Feb. 22, a small group of Spartans will head to the Alex Wilson Invite in South Bend, Indiana.
Michigan State will have athletes competing in three events at the Silverston Invitational. Drew Novak and Jackson Webber will be in action in the 60m at 4:20 p.m. Alex Yon will compete in the 600m at 6:15 p.m., while Owen Gilbert and Levi Maier will run the 800m at 6:20 p.m.
At the GVSU Tune-Up, Michigan State's throwers will take the spotlight. The Spartans will have nine women competing and seven men. Michigan State record holder Elle Adrian will compete in the weight throw. Jessica Stieb, who holds the MSU record in the shot put, will be in action in both the shot put and the weight throw.
On the men's side, Dalton DeBeau, Colby Morlock and Brendan Vander Meer can all be seen in both the shot put and weight throw events.
At the Alex Wilson Invite on Saturday, the Spartan men's distance medley relay team will compete. The team of Luke Perelli, Noah Sage, Tim Cherry and Riley Hough will represent Michigan State. Patrick Byrnes will also run the mile.
