MSU Women’s Tennis Set To Host Spartan Invite

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State women's tennis welcomes three opposing teams to the MSU Indoor Tennis Center to compete in the Spartan Invite, presented by Auto Owner's Insurance, Friday-Sunday, Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

Fans can follow the Tournament Central for updated schedules and results. Admission is free, and fans can visit the Tournament Central page for parking information.

MSU will be hosting the Big Ten Conference Cross Country Championships on Friday at Forest Akers East Golf Course, which is near the MSU Indoor Tennis Center, so tennis fans should be aware of increased traffic and possible partial road/lane closures, and should allot for plenty of time for adjusted travel time and routes.

The Spartan Invite tournament hosts players from Indiana, Minnesota and Xavier to compete in the action.

Each school will bring six of their athletes to compete in the action starting on Friday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. with doubles play. Two rounds of singles matches will follow doubles play.

A similar schedule is set for Saturday, Nov. 1, with doubles contention kicking off at 10 a.m., preceding two rounds of singles starting at 1 p.m.

Play on Sunday, Nov. 2 begins at 9 a.m., with only singles action taking place.
