MSU Track & Field Earns 15 Entries to NCAA East Preliminary Round

EAST LANSING, Mich. -Â Michigan State track & field will send 15 entries to the NCAA East Preliminary Round May 26-29 in Jacksonville, Florida, hosted by the University of North Florida at Hodges Stadium.
The Spartans will send 10 women's entries and men's five entries. Michigan State will be led by Big Ten Champions Sophia Franklin (pole vault), Morgan Beadlescomb (5000m) and Jenna Magness (5000m). The first Spartan in action will be John Petruno in the first round of the men's 1500m on Wednesday, May 26. Trevor Stephenson will also be in action on Wednesday.
The women will take center stage on Thursday, May 27, beginning with Sarah Anderson in the first round of the women's 1500m.
Texas A&M University, in College Station, Texas will host the West Preliminary. The qualifiers out of these two regions will compete in the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 9-12 in Eugene, Oregon.
