East Lansing, Mich. -- Michigan State finished third at the Dale England Cup on Saturday in Bloomington, with host No. 10 Indiana taking home the hardware after sweeping the NCAA boat (point-scoring) races.
MSU started with an early high note with a bowball win in the second varsity four over the host Hoosiers, edging out IU by four-tenths of a second at the finish.
The Spartans were third in both the varsity eight and second varsity eight events, as IU earned open-water victories over the other two crews.
