
Men's Tennis Announces 2016-17 Schedule

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan State men's tennis head coach Gene Orlando announced the team's 2016-17 schedule today, Aug. 26.
The Spartans will kick off fall season in Columbus, Ohio to participate in the ITA Midwest Regionals lasting from Oct. 20-24. Michigan State will wrap up the fall season in Madison, Wisc. at the Big Ten Indoors, Nov. 4-7.
The team will open up the spring season with two home contests against Wright State and Xavier on Jan. 14th. The Spartans will then take to the road for seven road games consisting of trips to Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, and Illinois before they come back to Michigan.
Once the Spartans are back in Michigan they will then welcome the Army and the Air Force to campus for a pair of contests on Feb. 17 and 18, before they travel to Tampa, Fla. for two matches against South Florida and UNC Wilmington, Mar. 4.
Michigan State will return home to East Lansing for five consecutive home matches including the wrap up of nonconference play, finishing with Boise State, Drake and Niagara on Mar. 10-12.
The Spartans will kick off conference play with Michigan at home, Mar. 17, followed up with another home stand against Penn State, Mar. 19.
At the beginning of April MSU will take to the road for three contests against Ohio State, Purdue, and Indiana. The Spartans will return to campus for four straight home conference matches and they will finish conference play in Iowa City, Iowa on Apr. 23 against Iowa.
Michigan State will wrap up regular-season against Chicago at 7 p.m., Apr. 23, in Chicago, Ill.
The Big Ten championships will take place in West Lafayette, Ind., from Apr. 27-30.
