
Michigan State Drops Road Game to Indiana, 70-51

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - Aerial Powers scored a game-high 21 points to go along with her 12 rebounds, but Michigan State fell to Indiana 70-51 in Bloomington on Wednesday night.
Tori Jankoska added 19 points on seven of 15 shooting, playing all 40 minutes.
Michigan State (8-5, 0-2) jumped out to a 7-2 lead, but the Spartans went scoreless over the next 6-plus minutes.
Six different players scored during the decisive 16-0 Indiana run over that stretch, including a layup by Alexis Gassion that gave the Hoosiers the lead, 8-7.
Michigan State, which came into the game ranked 10th nationally in rebound margin (plus-11.8), was outrebounded 49-34, including 15-6 on the offensive glass.
Jenn Anderson scored 19, Tyra Buss grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds and Amanda Cahill had 13 points and 13 boards for Indiana.
Buss added 10 points for Indiana (11-2, 1-1 Big Ten), which held Michigan State to its lowest scoring output of the season, more than 22 points below its season average.
Becca Mills fouled out with just two points, more than nine fewer than her season average, for the Spartans.
