Saturday's Results/Live Scoring
"I am impressed with our patience today considering it has been an eventful week," said head coach Casey Lubahn. "We did not have a sharp practice round yesterday and I was worried about how we would play today, but we did well out there. The golf course was scoreable and I thought we played better than our scores. If we put five solid rounds together tomorrow, we can move up the leaderboard and finish the weekend strong."
Dan Ellis posted a team-best seven birdies today, while managing only two bogeys.
Freshman McCormick Clouser is tied for 22nd so far, after shooting 1-over par 143 (70-73). His opening round 1-under par 70 ties his season low round. Both Clouser and Ellis played the par-5s at 3-under par apiece today.
Senior Chris Mory is at 3-over par 145 (71-74) and is tied for 31st overall. Mory had six birdies today, but was inconsistent throughout his 36 holes.
Junior Dave Ellis is tied for 44th at 6-over par 148 (73-75), while classmate Matthew Moseley is tied for 62nd at 11-over par 153 (77-76).
No. 21 Kent State leads the field after two rounds, posting a 15-under par 553 (280-273) to lead Mercer by 12 strokes. Xavier's Sebastian MacLean has a two shot lead on the individual leaderboard, shooting an 8-under par 134 (68-66).
