East Lansing, Mich. - Michigan State pushed its winning streak to five games with its fifth consecutive shutout on Friday, posting a 2-0 victory over visiting Bowling Green at DeMartin Stadium. MSU is now 5-1-0. Olivia Stander had a goal and assist in the victory.
Sophomore keeper Courtney Clem made her first start of her career and recorded three saves in her first career shutout. She has extended MSU's streak of consecutive shutouts to five games. Senior Jill Flietsra has the other four on her ledger.
The Spartans got on the scoreboard in the 21st minute. Senior Laura Heyboer was about 10 yards out when Stander laid off a soft pass to the senior captain.
