
Men's Tennis Drops 6-1 Match to Northwestern

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Northwestern on Friday, April 2 at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility. The loss puts the Spartans at 11-8 on the dual season and 0-4 in the Big Ten.
The Spartans came up short in doubles action, as NU picked up the point. Junior Jason Norville (Farmington Hills, Mich.) and senior Joe Vallee (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) teamed together to pick up a win over Joshua Graves and Spencer Wolf at the No. 2 position, 8-3.
Sophomore Ronnie Hulewicz (Tequesta, Fla.) put the Spartans on the board after he defeated Andrew McCarthy at No. 2 singles, 7-5, 6-3.
At the No. 6 spot, freshman Will Davis (Louisville, Ky.) battled Tobias Reitz into a third set but ultimately fell, 7-6, 4-6, 11-9.
Michigan State next plays host to No. 30 Wisconsin on Saturday, April 3 at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility. The match is slated to begin at 12 p.m.
