
Nathaniel Emge Named Men's Tennis Assistant Coach

East Lansing, Mich. - Michigan State men's tennis head coach Gene Orlando has announced the hiring of Nathaniel Emge as an assistant coach. Emge has spent the last year as a teaching professional with the WildCat Tennis Club in Lexington, Kentucky.
"Nate will be a great addition to our program. He brings a great wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for the game, and will make a difference in our program," said head coach Gene Orlando.
Prior to working with the WildCat Tennis Club, Emge worked for the Lexington Tennis Club as a teaching professional from 2006-2007, and was a camp counselor at the University of Kentucky Tennis Camp from 2004 to 2007.
Emge graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2007 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. While at Kentucky he was a three-year letterwinner, co-captain of the team his senior year and was ranked 41st in singles, the highest ranking of his career. Prior to his time in Lexington, Emge attended Penn State University from 2002-2003 and was named Northeast Tennis Rookie of the Year in 2003.
