
Men's Tennis Finishes Tourney At Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Michigan State men's tennis team concluded its weekend with eight singles matches at the Western Michigan Invitational Sunday. MSU went 1-7, with sophomore Jason Norville claiming the victory.
Norville defeated Bradley's Wilder Sampson 6-3, 6-3. Freshman John Stratton won the first set of his match against Tim Garnaud 7-6 (2) before dropping the second two sets 7-5, 6-3.
"The purpose of this weekend was to develop and get some matches in," head coach Gene Orlando said. "We need to continue to get ready for the Big Ten Indoor Championships."
The Spartans will conclude the fall portion of the 2007-08 season at the Big Ten Indoor Championships in Ann Arbor Nov. 8-11.
