EAST LANSING, Mich. - Jeamie Deacon was named Big Ten Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week after an impressive offensive display, scoring two goals and leading the Spartans to a 3-2 victory over No. 9 Penn State on Sunday, Oct. 14. The Big Ten office made the announcement on Monday, Oct. 15.
MSU got its first goal of the game from Deacon, as she slapped a shot from point-blank range past Penn State goalkeeper Jen Beaumont after a penalty corner. Deacon's second goal came in the second half, one-timing it from the top of the circle.
