Opening Statement...
We've got to credit Maryland. What a great team and what a great program. They played extremely well and I think they were expecting some competition. We did not provide that. The score is what it is. To me, it's more about pride and hustle and just really going all out for 40 minutes, which we did not do. We had very few people that matched the intensity of their team. Victoria (Lucas-Perry) is the only one I can think of who came out of the blocks and matched the competitiveness on the floor.
On Allyssa DeHaan...
It certainly was a great learning experience for Allyssa DeHaan. She gave up a lot of point on the inside. She'll learn about defense and moving her feet and playing with such a great player of Langhorne's ability.
On what the team will take out of the game...
There were a lot of different things that were things we're going to learn from. Without question, we did not represent Michigan State well today. That's not the way we play. We play a lot harder than that, despite the outcome. It's a great outcome for us and we'll take it from here.
