Senior Myisha Bannister started her first game of the season and posted career-highs with 12 points, seven rebounds, four blocked shots, six field goals and 25 minutes ... She also tied her career-high with two steals ... Bannister shot a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor.
Bannister ended freshman Allyssa DeHaan's streak of 16 games of leading or tying for the game lead in blocked shots ... DeHaan finished with three rejections.
The Spartans shot more than 50 percent (30-for-56, 53.6 percent) from the floor for just the second time this year and their 83 points was the second highest output of the season ... The Spartans shot a season-high 54.2 percent and scored 85 points against Rhode Island on Nov. 26.
The Spartans have won six of the last seven meetings, including three straight, against the Hawkeyes and avenged a 75-64 loss to Iowa at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Jan. 9, 2006 ... The team has won three of the last four meetings in Iowa City.

Sophomore Aisha Jefferson had 13 points and six rebounds off the bench ... It was the sophomore's first game out of the starting five since she had 11 points and five rebounds at Minnesota on Jan. 15, 2006.
The Spartans five road wins is one shy of their 2005-06 output, when the team went 6-5 on the road ... The Spartans are 5-1 on the road in 2006-07.
