With the 86-61 loss to Duke, Michigan State finishes the season with a 24-10 record. The 24 wins on the season is the second most in a single season at MSU. Last season's 33-4 mark is the program record.
Making its eighth NCAA Tournament appearance, MSU's overall tournament record now sits at 10-7.
With the loss, Joanne P. McCallie's coaching record falls to 9-10 in NCAA Tournament games, 8-4 with Michigan State.
Seniors Liz Shimek and Lindsay Bowen played in their final game as Spartans on Sunday, finishing their Spartan careers with a 96-35 record. Both players started all 131 games in their four-year careers and are the winningest class in program history.
Shimek leaves MSU as the all-time leading scorer in program history with 1,780 points, while Bowen is second with 1,739 points.
With the 15-point effort vs. Duke, freshman Aisha Jefferson improved her NCAA average to 13.0 points a game (eight points vs.UW-Milwaukee; 16 vs. Kentucky).
Shimek grabbed eight rebounds, giving her 1,130 career rebounds. Shimek finishes fourth on the Big Ten's all-time rebounding list.
