Overall impressions
Obviously, we're very disappointed. We knew
On Bryan Lerg's shorthanded goal
Our power play was struggling to score and when you give up a shorthanded goal, with the timing of it in a big game, it's a game-breaker.
Overall impressions
Obviously we're very happy. If you would have seen us the day we got back from break you wouldn't believe in a million years we could do this. I thought we played very well from the beginning and Jeff (Lerg) played very well again.
On
It's funny, we've played them four times and the team that has won the physical battle has won the game. We took it to them at Munn and both times at their place they just hammered us physically...It was a goal of ours tonight to go out and play physical. We got a little tired doing it but we had some big hits early on.
On his shorthanded goal
I saw Hunwick had a bouncing puck and I just tipped it through his legs. I got the breakaway and I faked the shot and got it in on the backhand. I didn't even know it went in until I heard everybody screaming.
On the difference between the championship game and Friday's game against Harvard
The games were pretty different. Last night I got a lot of shots right off the bat. Tonight, halfway through the first period they only had one shot...they were pretty much polar opposites.
On his two power play goals from the same spot on the ice
There were times before the power play I told them to try and find me on the far side. We just had a good power play and it worked tonight.
