Overall impressions
We're very happy with the win. We were very nervous coming into the game with our player situations. I thought Jeff (Lerg) came up big which we knew he had to do and we got some power play goals which I thought absolutely had to happen.
On Harvard
I thought Harvard was a very strong skating team that forechecked hard. They had a tough time getting the puck in the net which I think they've had all year.
On Jeff Lerg
You could tell early that his focus was on. He was seeing the puck through traffic and catching the puck clean.
On getting back into the lineup after being injured
It was a lot of fun. You're out there trying to get your feet back under you and get used to the little situations in the corners. I just tried to keep things simple but it was nice to get back out there.
On the play of Jeff Lerg
I think tonight he saw the puck pretty well. I think a couple times he had some screens and he got the first save and we just tried to clear the puck out.
On facing so many shots
It felt pretty good, especially getting some shots early because coming off a break you never know how you are going to be.
On the effectiveness of the Spartan power play
We worked together as a unit on the power play this week and playing with Tim Kennedy on a power play is perfect. We had a little give-and-go play going there and I think it worked well and I think we were just getting pucks to the net.
On
Coach (Comley) kept us in it and we knew that we just had to keep battling. That's all it was; 60 minutes of battling. I feel like we finished it off right tonight. Maybe it wasn't our best game tonight but it got us to where we wanted to be tomorrow. We've got to have our "A" game tomorrow if we want to win.
