KALAMZOO, Mich. - The Michigan State men's tennis team concluded the third and final day of the Vredevelt Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan on Oct. 29. The Spartans were 2-8 in doubles action, playing teams from WMU, DePaul and Marquette. The Green and White finished the invitational with an overall doubles record of 8-14.
"This was a learning process for our team," Michigan State head coach Gene Orlando stated. "We had a lot of young guys playing and this was about getting experience. The wins weren't there as much as we would like, but it gives us an idea of where we are at and what we can build on."
Michigan State will wrap-up its fall schedule with the Big Ten Indoors, Nov. 10-13, in Ann Arbor, Mich.
