* Michigan State improved to 19-3 overall and 8-2 in the Big Ten, winning its third straight game and seventh of its last eight. MSU's 19-3 mark is its best ever record after 22 games.
* Michigan State has now won 19 or more games three times in the last four seasons including the last two in a row. MSU's senior class has won 77 games - more than any class in MSU history.
* Michigan State improved to 10-0 at home. MSU's current 10-game home winning streak is tied for fourth longest in MSU history.
* Michigan State is now 25-22 all-time vs. Northwestern and has won seven of the last eight and 14 of the last 16. MSU has won the last 10 meetings in East Lansing.
* Michigan State's 61-point margin of victory tied the school record. MSU defeated Notre Dame 84-23 Jan. 30, 1975.
* Michigan State scored 100 or more points for the first time since a 101-52 victory over Chicago State Nov. 26, 2000. The 101 points was tied for seventh most in a game in MSU history and the third most against a Big Ten opponent.
* MSU had 42 field goals, which is the most in a Big Ten game in school history.
* MSU has now held six teams below 50 points this season, including four of the last six. The last two MSU opponents have been held to 40 points.
* MSU had a season-best 28 assists and a season-low eight turnovers. MSU forced 20 Wildcat turnovers during the game.
* MSU shot a season-best 60 percent from the field, sinking 42-of-70 attempts. The Spartans hit 15 of their first 16 shots, including 12 in a row during one stretch.
* MSU outrebounded Northwestern 47-19. The Spartans have been outrebounded just twice all season.
* MSU allowed 21 first-half points, marking the third straight game and fifth time in the last six games that the Spartans did not allow more than 21 points in the first half.
* MSU scored 56 points in the first half, which was just two shy of the Breslin Center record for points in a half (58 vs. Cleveland State, 12/3/91)
* MSU had a 29-0 edge in points off turnovers and a 19-0 advantage in fast break points.
* Victoria Lucas-Perry set a career high with 25 points. She had 21 in the first half, and surpassed her previous career high of 15 with 4:58 still to play in the first half. She hit her first eight shots, and scored as many first-half points as Northwestern's entire team.
* Lucas-Perry also had career highs in field goals (11), field goal attempts (15) and blocks (2), tied her career high with three 3-point baskets and added eight rebounds and three steals.
* Rene Haynes also tied a career high with 19 points, equaling the mark she set in her first collegiate game vs. Davidson. She hit 7-of-9 shots from the field in 21 minutes.
* Liz Shimek had 21 points, which was the third-highest point total of her career, pushing her career total to 958 and passing Julie Pagel for 22nd in school history. She added six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
* Lindsay Bowen scored 12 points and tied her career high with six assists.
* Kristin Haynie had eight points, eight assists and seven rebounds. She surpassed the 500 rebound mark, now with 505, and closed within 10 assists of 500. Her one steal pushed her school-record career total to 295.
* Kelli Roehrig tied her season high with 12 rebounds. It marked the seventh time this season she has had double-digit rebounds, including four 12-rebound efforts.
* Sophomore Myisha Bannister had a career-high four points off the bench for MSU.
* Freshman Maggie Dwyer had a career-high four assists, and added four points and two rebounds.
