* Michigan State improved to 22-3 overall and 11-2 in the Big Ten. The 22 wins is tied for second-most in MSU history and matches last season's win total (22-9). The MSU record for victories in a season is 23.
* MSU's 11 Big Ten victories are fourth most in a single season in Spartan history. MSU finished 13-5 in 1990-91, 12-4 in 1996-97 and 12-6 in 1987-88.
* MSU won its sixth straight Big Ten game, which ties the school record that had been accomplished five previous times.
* MSU now has a 9-2 road record this season. The school record for road victories in a season is 10 set by last year's team (10-4).
* Michigan State took a 30-20 lead in the all-time series and has won the last five including three straight victories in Madison.
* MSU has now won 80 games over the past four seasons for an average of 20 wins per season.
* MSU scored 84 points, which is the seventh time this season that the Spartans have scored at least 80 points.
* MSU hit a season-high nine 3-point baskets. The previous season high was eight vs. Connecticut.
* Liz Shimek scored 13 points, becoming the 16th MSU player and the fourth this season to reach 1,000 career points. Only two other teams are known to have had four players reach the 1,000-point mark in the same season - Georgia during the 1995-96 season and St. Joseph's last season.
* Shimek also just missed a double-double, grabbing a game-high nine rebounds. She added four assists, two steals and a blocked shot.
* Kristin Haynie had seven assists, pushing her career total to 505 and making her just the fourth player in Big Ten history to amass career totals of 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 500 assists and 300 steals. She had eight points, eight rebounds and three steals to push her career totals to 1,056 points, 525 rebounds, 505 assists and 307 steals. The other three players to reach the milestones are Ohio State's Yvette Angel, Purdue's Katie Douglass and Wisconsin's Tamara Moore.
* Lindsay Bowen had a team-high 18 points for MSU. She hit five 3-pointers, giving her 200 for her career. She is just the second Spartan to make 200 career 3-pointers, and is now 18 shy of Maxann Reese's school record (Note: Bowen has attempted 161 fewer 3-pointers than Reese).
* Victoria Lucas-Perry had 17 points for MSU, all in the first half. It was the second highest point total of her career and second time in the last four games that she had a huge first half (21 points vs. Northwestern Feb. 3).
* Rene Haynes came off the bench to add 12 points. It was her ninth double-figure scoring game of the season, and seventh when coming off the bench.
* MSU led at halftime, 43-26. The Spartans have had a halftime lead in 21 of their 25 games this season.
* MSU outrebounded Wisconsin, 42-41. The Spartans have been outrebounded just twice all season.
