MSU head coach Joanne P. McCallie:
Opening statement... "It was a great game to play a lot of people and to really get a nice balanced attack. Again, it was a good chance to get past the Christmas break. We started to execute more and were focused. We were intense as we tried to put together a good 40 minutes."
On Lauren Aitch's play..."Lauren has been working hard and is just a terrifically talented player. She just needs floor time and seize her opportunities or be patient and let them come as she did tonight. She was confident and aggressive. It was a good thing for her and for the team."
Tonight's game plan... "We were coming off a bitter loss to LSU so tonight was really about us. We had to focus on Michigan State and Michigan State basketball. Central Michigan is just doing a super job. They are a very nice team and I am very excited for them and for their conference. But from our stand point, after that LSU debacle, we were just really focused on doing the things that we needed to get done."
