INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
Lindsay Bowen had a season-high and tied her career-high with seven assists...she also dished out seven assists vs. Wisconsin on Feb. 5, 2004 and vs. Alcorn State on March 19, 2005...Bowen tied her season-high with six rebounds (Detroit)...she scored 11 points, tallying her 81st-career double-figure scoring game.
Myisha Bannister tied her career-high with five rebounds (Western Carolina).
Liz Shimek led the Spartans in scoring for the sixth time this season, this time scoring 24 points, good for her 70th-career double-figure scoring game...the Big Ten's leading scorer, she is averaging 27.0 points per game in MSU's five home games...it marks the sixth time this season she has scored at least 24 points in a game...she also tied her career-high with five assists (Illinois - Feb. 6, 2005).
Courtney Davidson tied a career-high with four points and hit two field goals, a career first.
Tiffanie Shives collected a season-best six rebounds.
TEAM HIGHS/LOWS:
The Spartans held the Cougars to 25 percent shooting, 17 field goals and eight assists, all season lows for a Spartan opponent.
MSU outrebounded Houston, 56-39...the 56 rebounds were a season-best for the Spartans.
