MSU head coach Joanne P. McCallie:
Opening statement: "It was a good game for us in a lot of ways. It is important that our defense is coming around and I like it when we force a team to shoot a poor percentage. I loved our rebounding. We had more people get involved in rebounding than we have for any game this year. There were some good things that happened tonight to prepare us for our next game."
On next week's play: "I'm excited about it. I have great respect for Oklahoma. They have a great team and have two freshmen who are making enormous contributions. It's always hard to play away - you have to try to silence the crowd, but I am excited. I think we are a more mature team than we were in the Virgin Islands and the atmosphere there (at Oklahoma) is going to be much more hostile, but I think that's good."
