* Michigan State is now 15-2, which is the best record in school history after 17 games.
* Michigan State is now 5-1 against nationally-ranked teams, equaling the most wins in a single season against ranked opponents in school history.
* Michigan State has now won four consecutive games against Minnesota and leads the all-time series 26-14.
* Michigan State improved to 8-0 in home games this season, including three victories over nationally-ranked teams.
* Michigan State outrebounded Minnesota 37-31. Minnesota was third in the nation in rebound margin at +11.6. The Spartans have been outrebounded just once all season.
* Michigan State scored 39 second-half points, which is more than Minnesota's last two opponents scored in their entire games (No. 23 New Mexico - 35; No. 20 Purdue - 38).
* Michigan State head coach Joanne P. McCallie won her 250th career game as a head coach, with the last 83 coming as head coach at MSU.
* Kristin Haynie had five assists, and in the process tied the school record for career assists with 460. She now shares the record with Chris Powers (1992-95).
* Lindsay Bowen led MSU with 20 points for her fifth game this season with 20+ points. She hit three 3-point baskets, giving her 181 for her career.
* Rene Haynes scored 17 points off the bench for MSU, which was the third-highest point total of her career.
* Kelli Roehrig added 11 points and nine rebounds for MSU, and has now reached double figures in a team-high 15 games this season.
* MSU sank 7-of-11 3-point attempts (season-high 63.6 percent). In the last seven games, MSU is shooting 43.1 percent from downtown (44-of-102).
* Michigan State had 16 assists and 14 turnovers. It was the third straight game and sixth of the last seven that MSU had more assists than turnovers.
