* Michigan State now leads the all-time series with Wisconsin, 29-20, and has won the last four meetings. MSU is 18-5 all-time vs. Wisconsin in games played in East Lansing.
* Michigan State is now in the midst of the best start in school history at 14-2. MSU had previously been 13-2 just once, in 1973-74, but lost its last two games that season to finish 13-4.
* Michigan State is 3-1 in the Big Ten for the first time since 1996-97, when the Spartans went on to share the Big Ten title with a 12-4 league mark.
* Michigan State is now 7-0 in games played at the Breslin Center.
* Liz Shimek led MSU in scoring for the second time this year, tallying 22 points with nine rebounds, a career-high tying four assists and three steals. Shimek's 22 points are the second most in her career, trailing only a 25-point effort earlier this season vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Her nine boards moved her past Julie Pagel into eighth place on MSU's career rebounding chart (669).
* Lindsay Bowen scored 14 points and sank 4-of-7 3-point field goals. Bowen had twice as many 3-pointers as Wisconsin's entire team (2-of-15). Bowen also matched a season high with six rebounds.
* Kelli Roehrig scored 14 points, giving her a team-best 58 career double-figure scoring games, including 14 this season. Roehrig moved into eighth place in MSU history with 1,116 career points. Next on the list is Julie Polakowski at 1,143.
* Roehrig also had two blocked shots, giving her 107 for her career which ties Erin Skelly for second most in MSU history.
* Rene Haynes had 11 points off the bench for MSU for her fifth double-figure scoring game of the season.
* Kristin Haynie had five assists, moving her career total to 455 which is just five short of the MSU record held by Chris Powers.
* MSU owned a 36-30 edge on the boards. The Spartans have only been outrebounded one time all season.
* MSU sank 7-of-14 3-point shots. In its last six games, the Spartans are shooting 40.7 percent from 3-point range (37-of-91) and are averaging 6.2 3-point bombs per game.
* MSU had 19 assists and just 13 turnovers. It was the fifth time in the last six games that the Spartans had more assists than turnovers.
