* Michigan State's victory over No. 3 Notre Dame marked the highest-ranked team the Spartans have ever beaten. MSU's previous high was a victory over No. 4 Penn State, 71-63, Jan. 23, 2000.
* Michigan State snapped Notre Dame's 25-game home winning streak, which was the fifth longest active streak in the nation (as of Nov. 28). MSU has now snapped three lengthy home court winning streaks in the past two seasons, ending Ohio State's 24-game streak and Minnesota's 19-game run last season.
* MSU is now 4-0 in overtime games over the past two seasons and 2-0 this year. MSU defeated then-No. 18/17 Boston College, 82-78, in the championship game of the Spartan Classic Nov. 21.
* Kristin Haynie had the fourth double-double of her career and first of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
* Liz Shimek had a team season-high 13 rebounds and was one point shy of a double-double, finishing with nine.
* Kelli Roehrig missed having her third straight double-double by one rebound, finishing with 14 points and nine boards.
* Roehrig's 14 points moved her up three spots to 16th on MSU's career scoring list with 970 career points.
* Lindsay Bowen led the team in scoring for a second straight game with 23 points and tied a career high with four steals.
* Liz Shimek played a career high 43 minutes.
* Michigan State had season highs of 29 free throws made, 33 free throw attempts and an 87.9 free throw percentage.
* Maggie Dwyer earned her first career start and scored a season-high nine points.
