
Women's Soccer Closes 2004 Season At Home Saturday

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's soccer team (11-7-1) will host Akron (3-11-2) on Senior Day at Old College Field this Saturday, Oct. 30, at noon.
Last weekend, the Spartans defeated Michigan, 2-1, and Eastern Michigan, 1-0, at home to extend their winning streak to three games.
This is the first ever meeting between Michigan State and Akron. The Spartans have compiled a 3-0 record this season against teams from the Mid-American Conference.
Forward Emma Harris (Jr./Portage) leads Michigan State with five goals and 14 points this season.
Prior to the game, eight seniors will be honored for all of their accomplishments during their MSU careers. The seniors being honored Saturday are Christine Byrne (Saginaw), Emily Carbott (Northville), Erin Carlson (Portage), Ashley Lawson (Burlington, Ontario), Abby Shepherd (Milford), Suzanne Smokevitch (Birmingham), Adrienne Treado (Troy), and Lauren Zacharski (Troy).
