Men's Tennis Team Heads to Big Ten Championships

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The No. 10 seed Michigan State men's tennis team will take on No. 7 Wisconsin in the opening round of the Big Ten Men's Tennis Championships. The 2001 Championships are being hosted by Wisconsin beginning on Thursday, April 26 and concluding on Sunday, April 29. The Spartans first match will begin at 2 p.m. on opening day. The winner of the match will go on to face No. 2 seed Ohio State on Friday, April 27 at 2 p.m.
Wisconsin is currently ranked 56th in the ITA national polls. The Badgers (12-9, 5-5 Big Ten) will have home court advantage when they face the Spartans ( 7-17, 1-9 Big Ten). The Badgers defeated Michigan State, in East Lansing, earlier this season by a 6-1 score.
