Women's Tennis Shut Out by Northwestern

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The MSU women's tennis team dropped its second Big Ten dual match of the weekend Sunday afternoon, suffering a 7-0 shutout at the hands of Northwestern. The Spartans fall to 1-6 overall on the season, 0-2 in the Big Ten, while the Wildcats improve to 9-1, 2-0.
The Wildcats won all nine matches on the afternoon, including a default by MSU at No. 3 doubles.
Junior Natasha Skogerboe (Coon Rapids, Minn.) played the closest match of the afternoon for the Spartans, falling 6-4, 6-2 to NU's Colleen Cheng at No. 3 doubles.
MSU is now off until a March 9 trip to Tallahassee, Fla. to take on Florida A&M at 1 p.m.
