Men's Tennis Finishes a Day Early

East Lansing, Mich. - On Saturday Michigan State sophomore Goran Topalo was defeated in his singles match, but won both of his doubles matches. Chris Porter of Ohio State University (OSU) defeated Topalo by a score of 6-3, 6-1. Topalo paired with sophomore Rodrigo Abucham defeated OSU's duo of Phillip Metz and Jonathon Scale (8-6). The pair also defeated Indiana State's Jonas Pubor and Vedran Vidovic by a score of 9-7.
Michigan State sophomore Todd Townsend defeated on OSU's Vincent Ng by a score of 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 bringing his record to 2-1 in singles action and 1-2 in doubles.
The men's tennis team will come home to improve their record on October 21 and 22 as they host the Advantage Spartan Invitational. The teams the Spartans will face in Invitational are Toledo, Bowling Green State University, and Western Michigan University.
