Grover Bortolotti is in his first year as an assistant running backs coach at Michigan State in 2026. He will work directly under running backs coach Devon Spalding.
Bortolotti played five seasons as a running back at Wisconsin from 2021-25, including three under Spalding, who coached in Madison prior to joining Pat Fitzgerald’s staff in East Lansing. A native of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, Bortolotti played in 45 career games for the Badgers, primarily on special teams. He earned Academic All-Big Ten honors as a graduate student in 2025.
Bortolotti attended Whitefish Bay High School and earned first-team WFCA All-State honors as a senior.Â
