CAREER NOTES: Second-year Spartan, coming to MSU after one season (2023) at Virginia Tech ... Has struck out the side in first outing of season in back-to-back seasons, doing so in his Spartan debut on Feb. 16 vs. Merrimack and in his collegiate debut at Virginia Tech on Feb. 26, 2023 ... Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 19th round (pick no. 565), but turned down the chance to sign to attend VA Tech.
2024 (SOPHOMORE): Named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List ... Made 17 appearances with two starts, posting three saves ... Logged 29 strikeouts in 20.1 IP, for a 12.8 K/9 inn. ratio ... Made Spartan debut on Feb. 16 in season-opener vs. Merrimack in Charleston, S.C., firing 1.0 IP striking out the side in 12 pitches ... Earned first save as a Spartan on March 8 vs. Western Michigan at Fluor Field in Greenville, S.C., with 1.0 IP, ringing up two Ks ... Majoring in psychology at MSU ... Chose Michigan State because of the connection with the coaching staff and education ... Chose MSU over several other ACC, SEC and Big Ten schools.
