On MSU's defensive effort: I'm pleased with our defensive effort tonight. It was probably our best team defensive effort to date. Offensively, the turnovers were bothersome. We have to take care of the ball to get more production from our offense.
On the team's play for the game: I thought we controlled the tempo. We did a nice job defensively. It's a 40-minute game and things got away from us the last seven minutes of the game. We had some good efforts and early on, we were able to keep Purdue out of the paint. Late in the second half when our team got tired, Purdue was able to capitalize.
