Pair of MSU Women’s Tennis Players To Open Fall Season At The ITA All-American Championships

Spartans Brahmbhatt and Blackford set to kick off fall tournament action in Cary, N.C.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State women's tennis will be sending two Spartans to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championships set in Cary, North Carolina from September 19-27.
Juniors Amara Brahmbhatt and Ellie Blackford are set to represent the Green & White in the Pre-Qualifying round of the ITA All-American Champions set for Saturday-Sunday, September 19-20.

Brahmbhatt enters her third season with the Spartans. In her sophomore season she posted 14 wins in singles action, including a three-match win streak, as well as collecting 10 doubles wins during dual action, including winning five-straight doubles matches as part of a streak winning six out of seven matches. The Cleveland, Ohio native made it to the Round of 16 during the ITA Midwest Regional Championships during last year's fall tournament season. Brahmbhatt got as high at No. 85 in the ITA singles rankings, finishing at No. 89 in the final rankings.
Blackford enters her third season wearing the Green & White. The Chelmsford, Essex, England native went 17-9 in overall singles play, winning six-straight matches with a decision, and posted 16 victories in double matches during her sophomore dual season, winning five-consecutive matches with a final outcome, and peaked at No. 109 in the ITA singles rankings, finishing the season at No. 37 in the doubles rankings.
Following the ITA All-American Championships, the Spartans will return to East Lansing to host the Michigan State Classic, Presented by Auto-Owners Insurance at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center from October 2-4.
The NCAA Individual Championships round out the 2025 fall tournament schedule from November 17-22 in Athens, Georgia before the Spartans prepare for their spring dual action schedule, which is to be announced at a later date.
