Spartans Announce Future Home-and-Home Series Against Oklahoma State and Cincinnati

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State football has announced upcoming home-and-home series against Big 12 programs Oklahoma State and Cincinnati.

The Spartans will take on the Cowboys in Stillwater on Sept. 16, 2028, with the return game in East Lansing on Sept. 15, 2029.

The following two years, MSU will travel to Cincinnati on Sept. 14, 2030, and host the Bearcats in Spartan Stadium on Sept. 13, 2031.

In addition, the Spartans have added a nonconference game against Duquesne on Sept. 4, 2027, in East Lansing.

MSU-Oklahoma State Series History

This will mark the first-ever football games between Michigan State and Oklahoma State.

MSU-Cincinnati Series History

Michigan State and Cincinnati have only met two previous times and not since 1946. The Spartans beat the Bearcats in the first-ever meeting in 1930, 32-0, but fell in 1946, 18-7. Both of the previous matchups were in East Lansing.

MSU-Duquesne Series History

The 2027 game will mark the first matchup on the gridiron between the Spartans and Dukes.
