Men’s Golf in Seventh Place After Two Rounds at the Watersound Invitational

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's golf team shot a 2-under par 278 in the second round and is in seventh place among 12 teams at the Watersound Invitational, being played at the Third Golf Course at Watersound Club (par-72, 7,252 yards) in Panama City, Fla.
The Spartans had been in ninth place after the first round but moved up two spots to finish the second day of play at even-par 560 (282-278).
Vanderbilt leads the field at 20-under par 540 (273-267), six shots ahead of Arkansas, in second place at 14-under par 546 (269-277). Ole Miss is in third place at 12-under par 548 (270-278), with Kentucky and Florida Stat tied for fourth place at 7-under par 553.
Senior Ashton McCulloch, who was tied for 29th place after the first round, fired a 5-under par 65 in the second round and moved up 24 places to tie for fifth place at 5-under par 135 (70-65).
Classmate Caleb Bond shot a 1-under par 69 in Tuesday's second round and is tied for 23rd place at 1-under par 139 (70-69).
Junior Lorenzo Pinili shot a 1-over par 71 in the second round and is tied for 31st place at even-par 140 (69-71).
Sophomore Julian Menser is tied for 63rd place at 6-over par 146 (73-73) and junior Lucas Acevedo is tied for 67th place at 7-over par 147 (73-74).
Junior McCoy Biagioli, playing as an individual, is in a tie for 63rd place at 6-over par 146 (74-72).
The Spartans tee off at 11 a.m. (holes 12 to 17) on Wednesday, playing alongside Alabama, Florida State and Vanderbilt.
