EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State's indoor track & field team is back in action at a pair of meets this weekend. The throwers, middle distance and distance groups will travel to the Meyo Invitational  held at Notre Dame, Indiana on Jan. 30-31. The multi athletes, sprinters and jumpers will be in action at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, Jan. 30-31 in Louisville, Kentucky.
After a week off, the teams are back in action in two very competitive meets. The PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational includes two Big Ten teams in Indiana and Ohio State. The meet will also include Alabama, host Louisville, South Florida and Texas A&M. The Aggies are in the top 15 on both the men's and women's sides.
The Meyo Invitational will feature Big Ten squads Indiana, Iowa, Ohio State Northwestern, along with host Notre Dame.
Friday's schedule at the Mayo Invitational for the Spartans begins with the two flights of the women's shot put at 4 Â p.m. Michigan State will end the field events with the men's shot put at 6 p.m. On the track, MSU will start with the women's 600m at 4:35 p.m. Day one will end with the men's 5000m at 7:15 p.m.
Saturday's events will start in Louisville with the women's weight throw at 11:30 a.m.
On Friday at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, the pentathlon 60m hurdles will get the action going on the track at 10 a.m. On the track, the women's long jump will start at 9:50 a.m. The first day of action will end with the men's 200m, beginning at 5:50 p.m.
Saturday's action on the track for MSU begins with the semifinals of the 60m hurdles at 10:10 a.m.
