Eugene, Ore. – Senior center Carson Cooper scored a career-high 19 points and No. 10 Michigan State used a big second half run to beat Oregon, 68-52, on Tuesday night at Matthew Knight Arena.

Cooper hit 8-of-10 shots from the floor and 3-of-4 from the free throw line, while grabbing seven rebounds and blocking four shots to lead three players in double figures.

Junior forward Coen Carr added 15 points and eight rebounds and redshirt sophomore guard Jeremy Fears Jr. scored 14 points and handed out a game-high five assists.

Michigan State led by two points (28-26) at the break before the teams went back and forth, with four lead changes and one tie, in the opening minutes of the second half.
Oregon took a 38-35 lead on a layup from Ege Demir at 14:01 before MSU scored seven-straight points, starting with a jumper from Cooper and followed by a basket and a 3-pointer from senior guard Trey Fort, giving MSU the lead for good at 42-38 (11:02).
A 3-pointer from Oregon's Wei Lin cut the lead to 42-41, but Cooper hit two-straight baskets, making it 46-41 and forcing the Ducks to call a timeout.
