This Week In Spartan Athletics – January 20
Here's a look at the week ahead (January 20-26) for Michigan State Athletics:
Gymnastics
No. 21 Michigan State will host No. 5 UCLA Sunday at the Breslin Center in the home opener for the Spartans. The meet will begin at 1 p.m. and be televised live on FOX.
Hockey
The Spartans are back up to No. 2 in the polls after a weekend sweep at then-No. 2 Wisconsin. This week, Michigan State will host Minnesota on Friday and Saturday. Friday's 7 p.m. contest is Teddy Bear Toss night, where fans are invited to bring a new teddy bear to toss on the ice at the first intermission. Saturday's 6 p.m. contest will be televised on BTN.
Women's Basketball
No. 13 Michigan State hosts USC Thursday at 8 p.m. The game will be televised on BTN. USC's last trip to East Lansing was in January 1992.
Men's Basketball
No. 10 Michigan State closes its west coast swing with a Tuesday night contest at Oregon. It marks the first time ever the Spartans have played in Eugene. MSU will be back at home this weekend with a Saturday noon contest vs. Maryland.
Wrestling
Michigan State is on the road for a pair of duals in the Hoosier State. Friday, the Spartans are at Purdue, followed by a Sunday showdown at Indiana. The dual against the Boilermakers will be televised by BTN at 5 p.m. Friday.
Men's Tennis
No. 20 Michigan State heads to Columbia, South Carolina, for ITA Kickoff Weekend. Update: Due to inclement weather in the Columbia area for the weekend, action has been moved up to Thursday and Friday. The Spartans will face Harvard on Thursday afternoon, followed by a Friday contest against either No. 25 Clemson or No. 18 South Carolina. Click here for more info

Michigan State travels to College Station, Texas, for ITA Kickoff Weekend. Saturday, the Spartans will play at the No. 2-ranked Texas A&M Aggies. Sunday, MSU will square off against Arizona State or TCU.
