Biermann, Lu Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

East Lansing, Mich. – Former Michigan State women's golfers Brooke Biermann and Katie Lu were selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team, the organization on Tuesday.
To be eligible for Academic All-District selection, a student-athlete must be ranked in the top 75 in at least one event in the final Road to Nationals rankings and maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Biermann and Lu helped lead the Spartans to the NCAA Championships for the third-straight year and the fourth time in the last five, capping off one of the best seasons in program history.
Biermann, who earned her bachelor's degree in human resources and labor relations, carried a 3.93 grade-point average this year. She was a four-time WGCA All-American Scholar, was selected to the Big Ten All-Academic Team three times and twice was named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
On the course, she earned honorable mention All-America honors from both the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) and Golfweek this past season. An All-Big Ten First Team selection this year, Biermann led the team in scoring average at 71.91, which ranks as the fourth-best single-season mark in program history. She tied for the team lead in events played (12), rounds played (35) and was third on the team in rounds counted, with 92.8 percent of her rounds (32.5-of-35) counting toward the team total. Lu finished her career with a 72.96 scoring average, the third-best mark all-time at Michigan State.
