Michigan State Tops Binghamton, 100-47, on Emotional Night

East Lansing, Mich. - On an emotional night at the Breslin Center, Michigan State senior guard Cassius Winston (Detroit, Mich./University of Detroit Jesuit) had a double-double with 17 points and 11 assists and five players scored in double figures as the No.1-ranked Spartans beat Binghamton, 100-47.
Winston started and played 20 minutes on the day after his younger brother, Zachary, a sophomore basketball player at nearby Albion College, passed away.
Junior forward Xavier Tillman (Grand Rapids, Mich./GR Christian) scored 17 points and had eight rebounds, while sophomore forward Aaron Henry (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) scored 16 points and blocked three shots, sophomore forward Marcus Bingham Jr. (Grand Rapids, Mich./GR Catholic Central) added 13 points, six rebounds and three blocks and sophomore forward Thomas Kithier (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) finished with 10 points, three rebounds and three assists.
