No. 9 Michigan State Hosts Green Bay on Sunday

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State's men's basketball team plays just its fifth home game of the season on Sunday, Dec. 16, hosting Green Bay at the Breslin Center at 5 p.m.

The game will air live on BTN, with Brandon Gaudin calling the play-by-play and Andy Katz serving as the color analyst. Michigan State, winners of its last three games and eight of the last nine overall, enters the game on Sunday with an 8-2 overall record. The Spartans are ranked No. 9 in the country in the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls. Green Bay, coming off an 86-65 loss at Creighton on Friday night, are 6-5 overall.

Junior guard Joshua Langford (Huntsville, Ala./Madison Academy) hit a pair of key jumpers late and redshirt junior Kyle Ahrens (Versailles, Ohio/Versailles) scored the final seven points for Michigan State as the Spartans held on to beat Florida, 63-59, at the O'Connell Center last Saturday. Sophomore forward Xavier Tillman (Grand Rapids, Mich./GR Christian) led four players in scoring with 14 points and nine rebounds. Langford added 13 points, three rebounds and two assists, while junior forward Nick Ward (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) had 13 points and five rebounds and junior guard Cassius Winston (Detroit, Mich./University of Detroit Jesuit) added 10 points and a game-high six assists.
