Spartans In :60 is a new series from Michigan State athletics designed to tell the stories of our student-athletes and what shapes them, not only as competitors, but also as students and members of the MSU community.

Nicole Marek is a senior for the women's rowing team from Grosse Ile, Mich. Throughout her time as a Spartan, Marek has consistently competed in the varsity eight at multiple events, including the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta in back to back seasons. Marek has earned multiple academic accolades as a three-time Academic All-Big Ten Selection and Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Scholar Athlete in 2017.
