Spartans Win Four Events At Hillsdale Gina Relays Saturday

HILLSDALE, Michigan - The Michigan State track & field squads closed the weekend with four first-place performances at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays on Saturday afternoon.
The team of TeJuanna Williams, Tori Franklin, Alicia Evans and Jellisa Westney delivered an impressive showing in the women's 4x100m relay, finishing first overall with a Gina Relays meet record time of 45.48.
DeVantre Whitelow clocked in with a top time of 10.81 in the men's 100m dash, while Lauren Rose won the women's 100m hurdles at 14.34. Brandon Wallace was the first to cross the finish line in the men's 800m run with a time of 1:51.51.
Janae Hill was the runner-up in the women's 100m dash with a time of 12.42. Devin McKinney clocked in at 14.89 in the men's 110m hurdles, finishing third overall.
Kassie Powell recorded a third-place throw of 34.59 meters in the open competition of the women's javelin throw. Austin Sanders collected a seventh-place finish in the men's 400m dash with a time of 49.90
MSU will return to action on Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, at the Ohio State University Jesse Owens Invitational.
