Saturday's Results/Live Scoring
"Unfortunately the same disappointing results for us," said head coach Casey Lubahn. "We continue to have poor execution in the short game, which is disruptive to everything we are trying to do. Physically I feel like we look good, but if you can't get the ball in the hole, it is bound to set us back.
"I still feel like we are at the edge of breaking out of our mini slump. We need to continue to be patient and the positive results with come."
Rutledge is alone in 18th place after shooting a 2-over par 146 (75-71). He had eight birdies, with seven coming on the four par-5s.
Blease and redshirt freshman Sean Friel are tied for 35th at 6-over par 150. Blease (76-74) and Friel (77-73) each had five birdies, while Blease also had two eagles.
Freshman Charlie Netzel is tied for 3th with a 7-over par 151 (75-76), while junior Jon Finley shot back-to-back 78s to sit in a tie for 57th at 12-over par 156. Netzel was 6-under par on the par-5s.
The host Hawkeyes hold a six-shot lead after 36 holes, carding an 8-under par 568. Minnesota's Jose Mendez is the individual leader with a score of 7-under par 137.
The final round is set to begin at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday with a shotgun start.
