
Ryan Keener Named to Capital One Academic All-District Team

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State men's soccer Ryan Keener earned Capital One Academic All-District Team honors on Thursday, Oct. 30. Keener was recognized as a part of NCAA Division I District 5 by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
The Grand Blanc, Michigan, native owns a 3.94 GPA in Kinesiology. Keener is a three-year Academic All-Big Ten and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honoree.
Keener has started more than 70 games as a Spartan, totaling six goals, three game-winners and six assists. The Spartan defense has nabbed over 30 shutouts with Keener in the back line and held opponents to less than one goal per game during his career.
First-team Academic All-District® soccer honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first, second and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
Keener and the Spartans will face Michigan on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. live on the Big Ten Network for Senior Day.
