Track & Field Finishes Action At The Len Paddock Inviational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Michigan State track & field team concluded the Len Paddock Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan on Saturday, May 7. In the team's final competition before the Big Ten Championships, MSU sent 10 individuals to tune up for next weekend's competition.
In both discus throw, the Spartans had a pair of individuals place second in the men's and women's competition. Sophomore Shatora Lewis posted a distance of 14.93m for second overall while freshman Zack Hill turned in a throw of 18.22m to place runner-up on the men's side.
Junior Aaron Ide followed hill in third with his toss of 16.71m.
Senior Yury Ratomski was the team's lone sprinter this weekend, running in the 100m dash. Ratomski clocked in at 10.83 in the competition to place sixth overall.
The Spartans also had two individuals competing in the women's discus throw. Sophomore Beth Rohl finished second overall (51.74m) and was joined by freshman Kelsey Prena in fourth (45.36m).
MSU will have six days to prepare for the 2011 Big Ten Championships set to begin on Friday, May 13th in Iowa City, Iowa.
